• About Us - Courses of Action
CEDRICAT's strategic actions are the following:
General projects involving planning and/or generation of technical and economic resources for rural areas, irrespective of where funding originates (mostly Eurpoean funding). These projects are mainly complementary economic activities geared towards sustainability of the land and promotion of diverse production.
Design and/or management linked to European structural funding. There is a clear objective to capitalise on and/or optimise extra sources of income to rural areas. CEDRICAT's contribution could be technical assistance or provision of premises (renting or lending of premises for organisations, seminars etc).
Territorial and environmental planning. The objective is sustainable management of rural areas, also involving the generation of resources to sustain the local population and to evaluate new opportunities and potential which may be proposed in protected natural areas which are linked to a local economic development strategy.
Touristic Planning based on local heritage. This brings to fruition local socio-economic development projects based on touristic planning and revaluation of local cultural and natural heritage, eco-tourism and sustainable tourism.
Supporting traditional and emerging sectors incorporating information and communication technology, promotion of organic production and agro-industrial rural crafts as well as added-value products and cultural management, among others. The objective is to ease access to structural changes which can benefit the rural and production sectors.
Promotion of Equal opportunities Actions with diverse pioneering projects within rural areas of Catalonia, especially aimed at recognising the work of women and their contribution to rural development.
